Simon Buttery

CEO, Continental Engineering Corporation

Mr. Simon Buttery has over 35 years of professional experience from the engineering and construction sector. He has lived and worked in a number of significant international markets including the United Kingdom, the Middle East, North Africa, North America, and the Caribbean. During his career, Mr. Buttery has held senior leadership roles within major international companies such as Wimpey plc, Tarmac plc and latterly Carillion plc. Before joining CEC, he served as the CEO of Carillion International, responsible for the management of more than 15,000 employees as well as Carillion’s day-to-day operations in both North America, the Middle East and North Africa.

A graduate from London South Bank University, Mr. Buttery holds an Advanced Diploma in Construction Management and Economics, and a Higher National Diploma in Construction Management (UK).

 

Mossy Chen

General Manager, Taiwan Office, Continental Engineering Corporation

In 1977, Mr. Mossy Chen graduated from Chung Yuan Christian University with a Degree in Hydraulic Engineering and joined CEC as a fresh graduate. Since then, Mr. Chen had worked on many overseas projects, including highway and bridge projects in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, as well as construction engineering projects in Thailand. In 1990, Mr. Chen returned from his overseas relocation to work on the MRT engineering project in Taiwan and was given the title of Manager of the Building Department and the responsibility of managing the company’s building projects. Subsequently, he was promoted to Vice President of the same department and was tasked with the responsibility of submitting construction bids. Mr. Chen is highly knowledgeable of the engineering field and market in Taiwan. At present, Mr. Chen holds the title of General Manager of Taiwan Office at CEC and is responsible for the company’s construction business development and operation in Taiwan.

 

Mike Shaw

CEO, Continental Engineering Corporation India Project Offices
Managing Director, CEC International Corporation India Private Limited

Mr. Mike Shaw is the Managing Director for CEC International Corporation India Private Limited (CICI) and the CEO for CEC India Project Offices. He has over 35 years of experience in the engineering and construction industries, spanning the UK, Middle East, USA, Australia, and Asia. Mr. Shaw has held senior positions in leading international contractors including, Balfour Beatty, Leighton Contractors and Lend Lease and has a deep understanding of the India construction market. Prior to CEC, his most recent appointment was the Country Director for WSP/Parsons Brinckerhoff overseeing business development in Australia & Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Shaw received his BSc degree in Quantity Surveying from Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham, UK. Mr. Shaw is also a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

 

Tsun-Sen Liao

President, Continental Development Corporation

Mr. Tsun-Sen Liao has been heading the Real Estate Development Division of CEC as General Manager since 2002. He was appointed as General Manager of CDC when it was spun-off from CEC’s restructuring in 2010. A graduate of the Urban Planning Graduate Institute at National Chungshing University and a Taiwan, R.O.C. national, Mr. Liao has been responsible for CEC's commercial real estate development, including department stores and deluxe office buildings, residential product positioning and sales (primarily in the luxury residential market segment) and the development of new suburban town communities.

 

Jerry Chou

President, HDEC Corporation and North Shore Corporation

Mr. Jerry Chou joined CEC in 1991 and has since been contributing his vast technical knowledge and engineering experience to the company. Mr. Chou has been involved with many major projects in the area of construction technology innovation. He also played a crucial role in the development of CEC’s green building construction technology and successfully built up CEC’s BOT business in environmental engineering. Mr. Chou previously served as President of Taiwan Business Division and International Business Division respectively. With his wealth of experience and track record in environmental engineering, Mr. Chou is currently President of HDEC Corporation and North Shore Corporation.
A graduate of Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan with a M.S. in Civil Engineering, Mr. Chou was a Design Engineer for Resource Engineering Service Inc., an Assistant Researcher at Chung-Shan Institute and Science and Technology, and a Civil Engineer with Weber Engineering Consultants Corporation prior to joining CEC.
